We were all extremely excited at first but then after waiting for almost 3 hours, talking about the incidents in past seemed more interesting than the fireworks.
There I was waiting for the beginning of 2010 with a mixture of friends whom some are really close to me and those whom have not met for years. This might not sound really weird to you, but its really funny to me when people come together only when a huge celebratory event is in order. I really loved the company and I do know that night would be a night I’ll never forget.
I woke up late the day after and decided to start reading Murakami’s Norwegian Wood. I am not doing the book any justice by storing it at the back of the shelf for the past few months. I’m craving for some Sue Townsend’s after this book.
My crazy mates and I were guessing how this song went throughout the night. For these bunch of people, here are the lyrics for you to memorize. (Turns out we screwed up every single line of this song. lol.)
On the first day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
A partridge in a pear tree.
On the second day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the third day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the fourth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the fifth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the sixth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the seventh day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the eighth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the ninth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the tenth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Ten lords a-leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the eleventh day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Eleven pipers piping,
Ten lords a-leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the twelfth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Twelve drummers drumming,
Eleven pipers piping,
Ten lords a-leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree!
These are two movies I begged Damien to watch with me yesterday! I told him if I were Rosemary’s size, I’ll just crush him with my behind. I thought it was funny but he didn’t laugh at my joke.
I had a blast. With a very close friend next to me for company and watching my best bud performing, nothing can be any better than that.
The sound of my camera’s shutter can be really annoying at times during the concert, so kudos to this lovely person sitting next to me (who turns out to be Vicky’s classmate) ! I tried capturing people’s faces the most and was totally going crazy with the lighting shone on the stage’s backdrop. I am sure Zuhairah couldn’t stand my cry of excitement every single time they shut off all the lights except for the said lighting.
So enjoy the pictures and rip them off all you want, Vicks.
As people are now stuffing themselves with turkey and log cakes(!) during the happiest time of the year, all I did today was laze around and watched bad tv. Then I asked myself when did my social life went rolling downhill?
Ho Hum
By the way, hope you (damn lucky) guys did receive these Christmas letters! Merry Christmas Everyone!
The horrifying thought of unaccomplished assignments on the submission day are carried throughout the minds of my classmates. Many of them are already at the edge debating if they should let go. Even as I am now typing this message, a nasty bugger is at the back of my mind demanding me to get back to work.
So here’s a song that has been stuck on my mind ever since Malvean “introduced” it to me again. It’s amazing that this 5 minute clip can set me in a trance and forget about almost anything.
Has another mass class trip just yesterday and this time, we went to this magnificent church at Bukit Batok. You have to go down to this church to inhale the architecture yourself. Cliche, but I felt like I was stepping into some article in an architecture related magazine.
Sidetrack a little, I was 5 minutes late for school and the coach left without me(!!!), thus, I had the honour of having two lecturers waiting for me and sending me to the church. (I am so sorry!)
My camera seems to be down with the flu due to the cold weather recently so please excuse the multiple fine noises in the following twenty or so pictures.
Currently at hand, I have a project that needs me to understand the needs of designing a space for the social changes in the greying city. We were brought to this small scaled museum to enjoy as well as experience how human and architecture could be interlink in a designed space.
I had been there several times, but this is the first time I came prepared with my camera!
